Hoy vengo con un recurso que mezcla dos de mis cosas favoritas: Matemáticas y Halloween 😍 Se trata de estas fichas para trabajar la subitización y vocabulario relacionado con esta festividad. ¿Qué es la subitización? Es la habilidad de identificar el número de elementos que hay en una lámina sin necesidad de ir contando uno por uno.

Here I am with a resource that combines two of my favourite things: Maths and Halloween 😍 It's these sheets to work on subitizing and vocabulary related to this festivity. What is subitizing? It's the ability to identify the number of elements that are in a set without counting one by one.
¿Qué incluyen estas láminas de subitización?
En el archivo encontraréis 12 láminas (números 1-12) y en cada una se representa un elemento característico de Halloween.

¿Cómo las uso?
Estas láminas las saco en nuestras rutinas de Inglés cuando hablamos de la festividad del mes. Al estar en octubre, toca la temática de Halloween. Las enseño de una a una (desordenadas) y me tienen que decir el nombre de la imagen que hay y las veces que se repite. Por ejemplo, si enseño la lámina de los murciélagos pregunto "what are these?" Y me tienen que contestar "these are bats". A continuación digo "how many bats are there in the picture?" y dirán "there are eight bats".
También podéis acelerar el proceso y que solo tengan que decir "there are eight bats", agilizando el conteo.

How do I use them?
I put these out in our daily routines when we talk about what we celebrate this month. As we're in October, it's Halloween time! I show them one by one (not in order) and they have to tell me the name of what's in the picture and how many times it's repeated. For example, if I show the bats sheet I ask "what are these?" And they have to answer "these are bats". Then, I say "how many bats are there in the picture?" and they will say "there are eight bats".
You can also accelerate the process and that they only have to say "there are eight bats", speeding up counting.
