Mi maleta de profe ♥ My teacher trolley

Mi maleta de profe ♥ My teacher trolley
¡Hola, confettis!

Hello, confettis!
Today I want to show you my summer project: 💜 my teacher trolley 💜 Although I have my cart for going around my classroom, when it comes to moving from one English class to another, I need to carry a bunch of things with me. So, in order to make my life easier, I adapted this little suitcase for keeping the games and flashcards I need with me. If you want to know how I did it, keep reading!

↠ Tijeras.
↠ Vinilo.
↠ Lápiz.
↠ Goma.
↠ Rotulador permanente.

In this project I have used the following resources:
↠ Cardboard trolley.
↠ Scissors.
↠ Contact paper.
↠ Pencil.
↠ Rubber.
↠ Permanent marker.

The trolley:

It's a cardboard trolley that some of the Kindergarten teachers at my school had and no longer used. You can find similar ones on Amazon, although they don't include the wheels.

On the inside, it had one big compartment and two little ones.

How did I make it?

Firstly, I covered the front part using blue contact paper and the back part with golden glitter one.

For sticking the contact paper, I recommend you slowly remove the back part and press the paper against the cardboard using a card for avoiding air bubbles.

In order to personalise it, I drew the letters on to the golden contact paper and traced them using a black permanent marker.

Lastly, I placed the letters in the position I liked and stuck them on the paper going through everything with my card for making sure there were no bubbles.

¡Así quedó el resultado final!              ♥             This is how it turned out!

Plus, I added some pockets on the inside that I got at Flying Tiger for taking advantage of the space and keeping everything I need in it.

Estantería con cajas de cereales ♥ Shelf out of cereal boxes

Estantería con cajas de cereales ♥ Shelf out of cereal boxes
¡Hola, confettis!

Hello, confettis!
I have been thinking for a while of changing the system I have for organising all of my paperwork for the week. I was scrolling through Pinterest when I saw various teachers who had used cereal or mail boxes for creating a super handy shelf. I couldn't wait for collecting the boxes! So my teacher bestie Carmen gave me these and, when I had them all, look at what I did with them!

↠ Tijeras.
↠ Celo de doble cara.
↠ Cartulina rosa.
↠ Cinta americana amarilla.
↠ Washi tape.

In this project I have used the following resources:
↠ Cereal boxes.
↠ Scissors.
↠ Double-sided tape.
↠ Pink card.
↠ Yellow duct tape.
↠ Washi tape.

First and foremost, I took 5 boxes. I used one for each day of the week, but you can make your shelf with how many boxes you'd like. Afterwards, I cut out the flaps from the top of the box, so that I had an empty hole with nothing that could block it.

For sticking the boxes together, I used super-resistant double-sided tape.

That way, I continued piling up the boxes until I got the structure I wanted.

Then, I covered everything with pink card, which I stuck using the double-sided tape again.

Finally, I added the labels with the days of the week and I decorated it using yellow duct tape and rainbow washi tape.

¡Ya está lista en mi escritorio!              ♥             I've already placed it on my desk!

¡Feliz cumpleaños! ♥ Happy Birthday!
¡Hola, confettis!

Hello, confettis!
Today I want to share our birthday corner. We've placed it in three of our cupboard doors, which we've covered in pink paper, adding a fantastic pop of colour to our classroom!

We've included this banner with the phrase "Happy Birthday" and the clouds of the twelve months of the year below.

We've also placed raindrops with our names below our corresponding month and then we've talked about the amount of people that has their birthday in each month, which month has the most birthdays, which is the one with the least...

Reloj de aula ♥ Classroom clock

Reloj de aula ♥ Classroom clock
¡Hola, confettis!

Hello, confettis!
We continue decorating our classroom and make it our learning corner. Part of that decor is our clock, which I have personalised for my students to tell the time faster and easier using a flower shape.

For making it, I used a Tiger clock as a base. It came without numbers, so I added 00 to 23 hours inside. I also placed petals with minutes from the digital watch, as well as clouds with the time they learn in Primary 2 (o'clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to).

In addition, I placed a pot, a stem and three leaves for completing the flower. The leaves have various shapes, corresponding to the different clock hands (hours, minutes and seconds).

This way, when they need to check the time, it's way easier for them having this visual support. Plus, they get familiar with the rest of the times and with how we write the numbers when it's after noon.

Light Box! ♥ ¡Caja de luz!

Light Box! ♥ ¡Caja de luz!
¡Hola, confettis!

Hello, confettis!
I've been seeing for a while a lot of teachers in this online world that use a light box in their classrooms. So, after many times of going past it in a lot of shops, I finally cleared my mind and... here it is!

The light box is from Tiger and it was 10€. It includes 58 letters, 21 numbers and 12 symbols made of transparent acetate and that can be inserted in the three rows.

At the back it has two hooks for hanging it and the compartment for the batteries (not included). The batteries are the only possible power source (it has no plug) and it needs 6 AA ones.

As you can see, the switch is located on the right side of the box.

CÓMO LA UTILIZO:
♥ Colocar frases motivadoras.

HOW I USE IT:
♥ Display motivating quotes.
♥ Remind words my little ones have trouble spelling correctly.
♥ Make them reflect and catch their attention, for example by placing a word and letting them think about its relation with today's session.
♥ Place random letters and see how many words my kids can create with them.
