¡Hola, confettis!

El verano está llegando a su fin, pero... ¡no os preocupéis! Ha llegado el momento preferido por tod@s l@s profes: ¡la compra del material escolar y la decoración del aula! Y es que no hay nada mejor que el olor a libros nuevos y la infinidad de posibilidades que ofrece la sección de papelería ♥ Por ello, hoy quiero compartir algunos de mis esenciales para comenzar el curso:

Summer is coming to its end, but... don't worry! Teachers' favourite moment has arrived: buying new school supplies and decorating the classroom! There's nothing better than the smell of new books and the endless possibilities that the stationery section offers ♥ That's why, today I want to share some of my teaching essentials for starting the school year:

1. iDoceo

Cuando empecé a dar clase utilizaba un cuaderno del profesor de toda la vida, puesto que prefería hacerlo a mano y tenerlo todo "más controlado". Sin embargo, al final acabé abrumada por todos los papeles que tenía: PGA, informes, programación de aula (con sus tachones), listas de alumnos, registros de excursiones, cumpleaños, información de contacto, notas de reuniones y tutorías... Mi cuaderno (ya archivador) súper guay de profe parecía ya El Libro gordo de Petete y, a final de curso, no había ya por dónde cogerlo.

Total, que yo en mis prácticas y en mi cole ya había visto a varias profes utilizar su tablet a modo de cuaderno, así que investigué a ver qué utilizaban y todas coincidían ➸ iDoceo

When I started teaching I used a normal teacher planner, as I prefered having everything written and "under control". Nevertheless, I ended up overwhelmed by the amount of papers I had: lesson plans, registers, reports, birthdays, contact information, meeting notes... My super cool teacher planner (now a binder) had turned into an encyclopaedia and, by the end of the year, there was no way I could handle it.
To sum up, I saw some of my colleagues used their tablets as their planner, so I did my research and all of them used ➸ iDoceo

Esta app me permite registrar notas, tutorías, observaciones, hacer rúbricas, calcular medias, distribuir a los alumnos por grupos, hacer un plano del aula, me avisa de los cumpleaños... Hasta llama en alto (sí, ¡con voz y todo!) a los alumnos al azar si lo necesitas para alguna exposición o concurso.

Su precio es de 12,99€ y de momento solo está disponible para iOS. Si tenéis Android, Additio App es una muy buena alternativa y cuesta 8,99€.

This app allows me to register students' marks, meetings, observations, design rubrics, calculate averages, distribute kids in groups, make a classroom plan, it notifies birthdays... It even calls out (yes, with voice and everything!) random children in case you need it for a quiz or a presentation.
It's price is $11.99 and, for now, it's only available for iOS. If you have Android, Additio App is a really nice alternative and it's €8.99.

2. Libreta / Notebook

Aunque utilice la tablet para la mayoría de cosas, hay algo que sí que prefiero tener por escrito: mis tareas ➸ Fotocopiar, imprimir, corregir, mandar un correo a las familias, hacer un juego, compartir una idea en Instagram, subir un post al blog... Todos estos pequeños quehaceres que, si no apunto, me ocupan la cabeza o se me olvidan directamente.
Para todo ello utilizo esta fantástica libreta de Tiger con purpurina (¡qué poco me gusta a mi todo el brilli-brilli!) que me regalaron mis amigas por mi cumple.

Although I use my tablet for most of my stuff, there's something I do prefer to have written: my To-Dos ➸ photocopying, printing, marking, sending an email to the families, making a game, sharing an idea on Instagram, uploading a post... All of those little tasks that, if I don't write, they'd take up space in my head or that I'd forget.
With that aim, I use this glittery notebook from Tiger (I don't even like sparkly things, do I?) that my friends got me for my birthday.

3. Bolígrafos / Pens

Soy algo pejiguera en cuanto a la elección de boli se refiere y tengo el que lleva siendo mi bolígrafo negro favorito desde hace ya siete años: Pilot V5. Este es el único que utilizo para escribir en mi libreta de tareas o si tengo que firmar o anotar algo, si no, no quedo yo a gusto (¿alguien más con un bolígrafo favorito? ❤ )

Para corregir, no soy muy fan del boli rojo, por ello suelo utilizar cualquier otro color. Aquí ya no soy tan exquisita como con el negro, pero sí que prefiero los STABILO point 88 u otro con el mismo tipo de punta.

I'm quite picky when it comes to choosing a pen and I've got the black pen that has been my favourite one for seven years: Pilot V5. This is the only one I use for writing on my notebook or signing a paper, if not, I don't feel comfortable (anyone else with a favourite pen? ❤ )
For marking, I'm not a red pen fan, that's why I normally use any other colour. I'm not as finicky as with the black one, but I tend to go for STABILO point 88 or another one with a similar tip.

4. Reloj / Watch

A mí el tiempo en clase se me pasa volando. No sé a vosotras, pero yo me pongo a hacer una actividad con los peques y, de repente, ¡la hora se terminó! Por ello, aparte del reloj de aula (del que ya os hablaré en otro post) llevo siempre conmigo uno de pulsera (el que utilizo ahora es de Parfois) para asegurarme de que voy bien de tiempo.

Time flies when I'm in class. I don't know about you, but when I do an activity with my little ones, suddenly, time's up! That's why, apart from my class clock (about which I'll tell you in another post) I always wear a watch (the one I carry now is from Parfois) for making sure I've got plenty of time.

5. Botella de agua / Water bottle

Y, ¡cómo no! A los profes se nos resiente la garganta, y a mí, que estoy todo el día hablando dentro y fuera del aula (soy una cotorrita), se me seca enseguida, así que siempre tengo a mano mi botella de agua para dar un sorbito entre clase y clase.

Teachers normally suffer from throat problems and mine is usually dry, as I spend my day talking in and out of school (I'm a chatterbox). Thus, I always have my water bottle at hand for taking a sip between classes.
